Reservation Guarantee Policy
Canad Inns requires that all reservations be guaranteed by a valid credit card number and expiry date at the time of booking. Credit card numbers will not be charged prior to arrival*; it will only be used to secure the reservation. Payment for the room with a valid credit card will be required upon check-in. Guaranteed reservations must be cancelled 24 hours in advance (before 6:00 p.m. local time the day prior to arrival) on day of check-in or earlier, otherwise a charge will be processed to the credit card in the amount of the first night guest room rate plus taxes.
Please Note: Canad Inns is pleased to offer a SMOKE-FREE environment for our guests. All venues including all guest rooms are designated as NON-SMOKING areas.
* If you have booked a pre-paid package with Canad Inns, we will charge your credit card number in accordance with the package conditions.
Check In, Check Out Time
Check-in time is guaranteed for anytime after 3:00 PM, checkout time is 11:00 AM. An early check-in time and/or a late checkout can be requested by calling the hotel directly, and speaking with a Guest Services Agent or the Guest Services Manager.
Reservations should be cancelled/changed at least 24 hours prior to your arrival*. We will consider weather and other uncontrollable circumstances should your plans be hindered by these circumstances.
*If you have booked a non-refundable package with Canad Inns, your package can only be changed to an alternate date, we cannot cancel your reservation and refund your credit card.
Please Note: For Canad Inns Destination Center Grand Forks, the cancellation/change policy of at least 48 hours prior to your arrival applies to all bookings.
Reservation "No Show" Charge
Canad Inns will charge one night's room and taxes to the credit card on file at the booked rate for any reservations that fail to check-in to the hotel on the scheduled arrival date, and have not been cancelled/changed by the guest at least 24 hours prior to the arrival date. If you can provide a cancellation number issued by the hotel or website booking, we will reverse the charges.
Minimum Age for Room Occupants
You must be 18 years of age or older to rent a room with Canad Inns. Children 17 years of age and under stay free in a parents, grandparents, or guardians room. If the parents, grandparents or guardian is not in attendance, all room occupants must be 18 years of age or older. Canad Inns reserves the right to ask for photo I.D. to verify the room occupant's ages upon check-in.
Credit Card Payment
Canad Inns accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners/Enroute, Discover, and JCB Card. Upon check-in at the hotel, a pre-authorization will be put on your credit card for the total room and taxes, plus a deposit amount (this is not a charge, only a pre-authorization). You will be required to stop at the front desk upon checkout to verify your room charges, and sign your final credit card receipt unless you are utilizing our EXPRESS Check-out feature [as available at participating hotels].
Third Party Credit Card Payment
If you wish to have your credit card charged for a guests stay with Canad Inns, and the physical credit card will not be with the guest upon check-in; Canad Inns requires a "Credit Card Authorization Form" to be filled out and faxed, mailed, or dropped off at the hotel prior to the guests arrival. This form must be obtained from the Canad Inns directly. Please call our Central Reservations office, toll free at, 1-888-332-2623 and we can fax you this form. In order for the third party, credit card billing to be completed, Canad Inns must have the completed Credit Card Authorization Form, and a photocopy of the front a back of the physical credit card. Canad Inns reserves the right to require an imprint of the physical credit card and the cardholder's signature if requested by the hotel management. [Note: Hotel guests utilizing the room must be at least 18 years of age.]
Cash/Travellers Cheque Payment
Effective March 1st, 2006, Canad Inns requires a valid credit card of the person occupying the guest room for the duration of the hotel stay. Cash/Travellers Cheque can be utilized to pay for guest room and hotel fees at time of check-out, however, a valid credit card IS REQUIRED at time of check-in for the person occupying the guest room. A pre-authorization will be put on the credit card for the total room and taxes, plus a deposit amount (this is not a charge, only a pre-authorization). Canad Inns WILL NOT accept guests without the presentation of a valid credit card at check-in unless advance arrangements have been made directly with hotel management or a valid credit card authorization as per Third Party Credit Arrangement has been fulfilled.
Canad Inns does not accept personal cheques for payment of a guest room. Canad Inns will accept a company cheque for payment upon departure from the hotel. Canad Inns reserves the right to ask for a credit card number, and/or photo I.D. when accepting a cheque for payment. Any cheques returned as Non-Sufficient Funds are subject to a fee of $30.00.
If the room you are reserving is to be invoiced to a company, Canad Inns must have either an existing account set up with the company, or a Credit Application must be filled out in order to have an account set up with Canad Inns. Please call our Central Reservations office toll free at 1-888-332-2623 if you have any questions regarding this form. It takes a maximum of 2 business days for this account to be set up. We will contact you with your account number when set up has been completed.
Canad Inns and Canad Tours offer a variety of products and services via our Central Reservations, individual hotels and via our website. Some of our packaged products may require PREPAYMENT where your credit card will be charged immediately upon receipt of the booking request. In most cases, our packaged programs are fully NON-REFUNDABLE, however date changes may be applicable. Please refer to the specific package or program conditions for full information.
Out of respect for our individual guests, Canad Inns enforces a "quiet-time" policy at our hotels between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. This covers our hallways (no running in hallways or excessive noise) and guest rooms (no loud activities, loud noise from TV or other appliances). Guests who do not observe our "quiet-time policy" may be asked to leave or denied guest room reservations. Should a guest room be asked to leave the hotel, the cost of the guest room and deposit will not be refunded to the evicted guests.
