On May 16, 2006, Cancer Care Manitoba announced that following the very successful Bears on Broadway campaign, the Bears would once again be visible to the public through "Bears Beyond Broadway."

The Canad Bear, designed by Andrew Giffin, is a bold and patriotic Canadian bear for all seasons, paying vibrant homage to the beauty of the maple leaf that it wears so proudly.
