Description & Qualifications:


  • Ensures efficient operations of banquet functions by coordinating and providing work direction for banquet Servers and Porters
  • Holds  pre-function briefings with staff to determine specifications of each function – prioritizes and assigns work
  • Directs and coordinates staff under the direction of the Banquet Manager
  • Handles customer complaints and concerns promptly and tactfully
  • Attends all BEO and pre function briefings as instructed by the Banquet Manager
  • Inspects all banquet rooms for cleanliness; Oversees  Porters on function setups
  • Seeks out and communicates with the Banquet Manager regarding areas of opportunity for the staff and departmentally
  • Processes banquet bills and invoices; conduct deposits of cash remittances
  • Works closely with the Culinary team to coordinate cooking , food presentation and delivery times for each function
  • Completes dish and food requisitions as necessary
  • Ensure that employees follow proper sanitation procedures
  • Supervises the handling, storage and security of all kitchen and banquet equipment used in function
  • Organizes weekly Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Scheduling responsibilities in the absence of Banquet Manager
  • Provides on the job training for new employees
  • Assists the Banquet Manager with the overall development of the department

Menu Content and Impact …Understand different types of cuisine and wine, how menus are developed and pricing guidelines and how each outlet can improve
