Description & Qualifications:

PURPOSE: To create 100% guest satisfaction by providing excellent   service to guests

Areas   of Responsibility:

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing Canad Certified Four Star   Service and by exceeding guest expectations.

  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest service
  • Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving   guest problems
  • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment to resolve the situation
  • Greets each guest politely
  • Welcomes guests and assists with baggage to the front desk
  • Escorts guests to their room; places baggage in the room
  • Inspects guest room for order and adequate supplies and describes amenities to guest
  • Leaves guest with room key and welcome card
  • Assists guest with their luggage throughout their stay
  • Stores luggage and issues claim checks as requested
  • Keeps current on hotel accommodations, services, and area attractions
  • Promotes the hotel and area services and attractions
  • Responds to guest inquiries for information
  • Assists guests to get in and out of vehicles
  • Arranges for local ground transportation
  • Delivers phone messages, mail or packages, faxes, flowers, etc to guest rooms
  • Collects and returns outgoing laundry and dry cleaning
  • Pages customers in lobby or other areas of hotel as needed
  • Replaces promotional items as required in the lobby    as required
  • Keeps storage area clean
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Drive hotel van taking Guests to Required locations

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Legally able to work in Canada
  • Physically able to carry out the duties of the position
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment that can be stressful
  • Must be hard working, reliable, and have a positive attitude
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Ability to work with public and other staff in a calm and professional manner
  • Able to provide a clear criminal record check
  • Ability to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision
