QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Food Handlers certificate
  • 5+ years of direct experience preferred
  • Completion of culinary program preferred

Responsibilities

  • All tasks of a Third Cook
  • Supervision of the line; managing prep time and order time efficiently
  • Prepares food as specified by the Chefs
  • Prepares menu items to the standards set by the Chefs
  • Reads and follows prep lists
  • Must be current with new cooking trends
  • Reads and follows all recipes
  • Works to standards specified by the Chefs
  • Operates all kitchen equipment safely and correctly and upholds maintenance and sanitation 
  • Tastes and evaluates food before serving to ensure that standards are met; consults with the Chef if there are any concerns
  • Portions food as specified by the Chefs
  • Garnishes food in an appropriate manner
  • Follows production sheets accurately
  • Follows safe food handling guidelines and Health Department standards
  • Cleans and sanitizes work area according to cleaning schedule
  • Understands and uses the “clean as you go” method
  • Must be flexible with scheduling
  • Maintains a consistent work standard
  • Maintains close communication and works cooperatively with Executive Chef, Administration, and coworkers
  •  Upholds all hygiene and sanitary regulations, is clean and presentable (i.e., report to duty punctually wearing a clean and correct uniform and footwear)
  • Ensures a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers by upholding the safety rules
  • Promote professional work habits that will develop the respect and create return business from customers
  • Provide fast and efficient guest service and respond quickly to the customer requests
  • All other duties as assigned
