Canad Inns Winter Wonderland Canad Inns Winter Wonderland, a Winnipeg family tradition is a partnership with Red River Exhibition Park, offering our community a festive seasonal drive through a lighted display each December and January. Proceeds are returned to the community through the Law Enforcement Torch Run, the Firefighters Burn Fund and Riverview Health Centre. Canad Day Picnic in the Park On July 1st, Canad Inns sponsors the Canada Day celebrations at Assiniboine Park called Canad Day Picnic in the Park. This family oriented day is free to all who attend and a great way to celebrate our nation's birthday. Canad Inns organizes the day long festivities which include games and activities for children, entertainment and a spectacular fireworks display. Over 100,000 Manitobans come and celebrate Canada Day with Canad Inns. Holodomor Canad Inns is participating in the worldwide recognition of the Holodomor, the genocide in Ukraine from 1932-1933. Canad Inns was the title sponsor of events in Winnipeg, held to mark the 75th anniversary of this atrocity and have produced a video documentary with stories from some survivors now living in Winnipeg. The videos have been distributed to high schools in Manitoba and Ontario and to universities around the world. United Way Canad Inns has long held relationships with the United Way within our communities sharing similar mission values that provide meaningful opportunities for individuals to realize their own potential. From 50/50 draws, bake sales and candy counts to pie-facing, putting contests and Rock band competitions, all employees get involved in one way or another. Their efforts are supported with a generous matching personal donation by our company President. Community/Donation Requests Canad Inns has always had and will continue to have a strong sense of responsibility to the community. The firm's community involvement is demonstrated at both the scale of the individual properties, as well as in the larger municipal and provincial contexts. Bears Beyond Broadway On May 16, 2006, Cancer Care Manitoba announced that following the very successful Bears on Broadway campaign, the Bears would once again be visible to the public through "Bears Beyond Broadway".
